I am working on a new book that is a guide to liberatory writing pedagogies and explores the multiple uses of writing in the university classroom and beyond to bring freedom and transformation to students' learning and growth as writers.   I have long been fascinated with the liberatory pedagogies of Paulo Freire and hope to enact his pedagogical methods of liberating the oppressed through writing practices and techniques that teachers can use to work against oppressive assumptions about education and learning in the university classroom.
